LogoArchive International 1: Ukraine
LogoArchive International was launched in 2020 as an unprecedented global on-the-ground research initiative to document modernist logos with a special interest in the the works previously under-represented countries.
To further this initiative, the LogoArchive format has been handed over to designers Maryan and Victor, who share the story of Ukrainian modernist logos and continue to reiterate the Ukrainian cultural identity in the face of adversary.
This limited edition issue has been possible thanks to the kind donations of WithPrint who offered their services and G.F Smith who kindly supplied paper. With their generous support, all proceeds from the sale of this zine will go to United 24, to support rebuilding and humanitarian aid in Ukraine. Donations will not go towards buying weapons. This issue (300 copies) features texts in Ukrainian and English sharing the history of Ukrainian trademark design, and is composed of logos that were designed between 1960 and 2000.
